What is a rent installment vs. monthly rent?
Your lease contract values the rent as a sum due for the entirety of the contract (lease start to lease end date). That total is then split into 12 equal installments over the course of that term. Rent can be paid in one lump sum prior to moving in, or can be paid in the 12 equal installments at the beginning of each month of the contract.
